Directions for Completing Your Online Registration

Online Registration 2017-18 School Year

Enrollment Procedures for the Oak Grove School District

  • Online registration will open on July 17th. Please read through these guidelines and tips before logging in.  
  • Our online registration process needs to be completed by the primary parent/guardian or the Household Parent 1 listed in SIS.
  • Online registration should be completed BEFORE orientation in August.  You will not be filling this information out on paper.
  • Computers will be available at each building during office hours between August 2-11 if you do not have access to a computer before then.
  • If you are listed as Household Parent 2, an alternate parent, or a non-resident parent, please do not start the online registration process. 
  • All families with students in our district will be required annually to present proof of residency to be scanned at the building your student will attend. 

    One of the following items must be presented by the parent or legal guardian, even if the student attended summer school. 
    • Utility bill:  gas, electric or water only.  Less than 30 days old in the name of the parent/guardian (no final or disconnect notices/no cell phone bill)
    • Rental/Lease Contract (signed by the landlord and dated within the past year)
    • Mortgage Contract (signed by mortgage company and dated within the past year)
  • Once residency has been verified at one building, parents will receive a residency verification slip that can be used to prove residency for all children in the household at all district buildings. 
  • Children entering Kindergarten for 2017-2018 must be age 5 on or before July 31, 2017

New families to the Oak Grove School District:

Before completing the online forms you will need to provide basic information to get your Parent Portal set up.  Please by completing the Quick Registration Form as soon as possible.  Enter ALL students that will be attending our district.  Once your Quick Registration is approved by the building secretary, an email will be sent to you and it will include the username (your email address) and password for your new account.  When you receive your email
with your password, please start with Step 1 below. 

New to the District Students:  Proof of residency, state birth certificate, and immunization records must be brought to the school by a parent of a student new to the district August 2-4 between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. 

Returning OGR6 families please start with Step 1 below. 
      

Step 1:  To log in to the Parent Portal you can go to our SIS Parent Portal Link

Step 2:   Once you have logged in to your Parent Portal, you can click on the pink “Online Registration” tile and proceed with your household and student information required.

Step 3:  Click “Edit”
for each area and click the “Next” button at the bottom to move to the next form.   As you complete each form, verify that all of the information is either correct or update the fields that need to be changed.

Step 4:  ***Please note: Some screens will be blank until you click on the "ADD" button at the bottom left side to add the requested content. You will need to add the household parent/spouse, emergency contacts, etc. If you do not have a home phone number please put your cell phone number in both areas (home and cell).

Step 5: At the bottom of each screen you will see “I agree” statement.  As you agree to each section, you will need to check this box in order to complete that section.  If you move on without completing it, the main screen will still show incomplete and you will need to revisit that section to finalize your enrollment.

Step 6:  You will see buttons at the bottom that will take you to the previous screen, the list of items to complete, or the next screen.  Once you have completed the items, you can save and go to the next section.  Each section will save as you hit "Next"

Basic Troubleshooting Tips:

  • If you are having difficulty logging in to the Parent Portal, make sure you have clicked on the “Parent” tab.
  • If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it from the login screen.
  • If you are on a tablet or cell phone and the screen is not displaying correctly, you might need to switch to a laptop or desktop computer to view the full version.   
  • If you need help or are having technical issues with the forms, please email csmith@oakgrove.k12.mo.us or call your building secretary on August 1.
